Delamotte
Brut Rose

Tanzer 92 “Pale salmon-skin color. Zesty redcurrant and pomegranate aromas are complemented by white flowers and chalk. Finely etched red berry and pink grapefruit flavors are refreshingly bitter but gain flesh with air. A deeper note of bitter cherry lingers on the nervy, persistent finish. This year’s releases deliver more vivacity than I’ve seen from this house in a while.”
WS 88 “A dry style, evoking dried cherry, currant and spice notes. Nicely balanced, with a firm, dry finish. There’s a tangy quality overall.”
“Delamotte is one of Champagne’s oldest houses. The domaine lies next-door to its sister estate, Salon, which makes one of Champagne’s most iconic wines. Both properties are run by General Manager Didier Depond, and the winemaking is overseen by chef de caves Michel Fauconnet. The wines at both properties are made separately, but in years in which Depond and Fauconnet decide to forgo making Salon, that wine is sometimes added to the Delamotte bottlings.” Robert Parker
