It is the time of year to really start talking about fabulous bubbles and if you all haven’t noticed, but we are super excited about Henriot Champagne. The Wine Enthusiast put the Brut NV ($39.99) at #5 of its top 100 of 2009. Robert Parker recently reviewed the Brut Pur Chardonnay Blanc Souverain ($49.99) and gave it 91 points while Burghound gave it 92 points. The Rose ($59.99) also received 91 points from a recent Parker review. You don’t have to only listen to the numbers because we here at Ansley are in love with these bubbles. Share them with your friends this holiday season!

Henriot
NV Souverain Brut
$39.99
Wine Enthusiast #5 on Top 100 of 2009
WE 94
“A beautifully fine mousse indicates the class of this finely crafted wine. It has some weight, flavors of green apples, with hints of fresh apricots. There is extreme freshness here, the style dry but rich. This bottling tastes young and would be worth aging six months. Editors’ Choice”

Henriot
NV Brut Pur Chardonnay Blanc Souverain
$49.99
Parker 91
“The NV Brut Pur Chardonnay Blanc Souverain (100% Chardonnay) is a gorgeous wine loaded with varietal fruit and sweet, toasty notes that add complexity. This is an especially bold, extroverted Champagne that is sure to find many admirersDisgorged: 4th quarter 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.
This is an impressive set of new releases from Henriot, an historic estate that seems to be experiencing a resurgence in quality. All of this house’s Champagnes see full malolactic fermentation, yet retain an element of cut and verve that gives the best wines impeccable balance.”
Burghound 92 “Henriot in general aims for understated wines and like the regular Souverain, this is has a distinct yeast component but it’s more restrained than the vast majority of examples in this review. The reserved nose features notes of green apple and white rose with the aforementioned yeast present only as a nuance that leads to crisp, refined and very pure flavors that offer both excellent cut and fine detail. It will also age extremely well and for my taste, I would allow it another 2 to 3 years first as it will repay your patience amply. Lovely juice.”

Henriot
NV Brut Rose
$59.99
Parker 91
“The NV Brut Rose is a delicious wine. Deceptively light in both color and body, the wine packs surprising punch, in an expressive core of mineral-infused fruit that gradually emerges with air. The balance here is commendable, but this is a wine that is best enjoyed with food rather than on its own. Flowers, mint and chalkiness linger on the polished close. The NV Brut Rose is 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay.”
