William Fevre
2008 Chablis
Bougros Domaine
Grand Cru
750ml – $72.99
Burghound 95 “A classic Chablis nose of mineral reduction, oyster shell and green fruit aromas merges into sappy, rich and powerful flavors that possess more refinement than usual on the long, sappy and beautifully detailed finish. I’m impressed that this seems to have to rusticity and in this sense, it’s a bit atypical.”

These are in house.
The Tilia Chardonnay shows a strawyellow color with light shades of green. The nose presents ripe tropical fruit aromas with citrus and floral notes. The mouthfeel is full and rich, with concentrated
pear and fig fruit flavors with layers of vanilla and sweet spice from light oak aging. The finish is clean and fresh with bright, crisp acidity. – From the site of Winebow
“Tilia is dedicated to responsible use of the environment. The winemaking and viticultural team actively engage in many practices and programs throughout the community to implement sustainability. Water conservation and reuse, minimal use of pesticides and organic fertilization are several examples of the team’s dedication. Furthermore, the entire Tilia viticultural team attends regular sustainability training sessions at the National University of Cuyo and National Agricultural Research Institute. They take this training into the field to share and implement with their grower partners.” – From the site of Winebow

Although we don’t yet have ratings of the 2007 Varner, many people in the industry agree that the 2007 vintage for California Chardonnay was outstanding. I am going to list the ratings for the 2006 vintage so that you understand the greatness of these wines.

Varner
Amphitheater 2007
Chardonnay
Central Coast, California
$42.99
2006 Rating Parker 91 “The 2006 Chardonnay Amphitheater Block comes from 27-year-old vines aged in about one-third new French oak. It is a gorgeous wine, with poached pear, caramelized peach and apricot notes, and background minerality. It is fresh, full-bodied, powerful, yet at the same time, elegant and long. This wine should drink well for another 5-6 years.”

Varner
Bee Block 2007
Chardonnay
Central Coast, California
$42.99
2006 Rating Parker 93 “The youngest vines, the 21-year-olds, make up the 2006 Chardonnay Bee Block. This is also the largest production item at 500+ cases. Medium to full-bodied, with notes of waxy, caramelized nectarine and, oranges, in addition to lemon oil and crushed rock, this wine has beautiful texture and a full-bodied, long finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.”

Varner
Home Block 2007
Chardonnay
Central Coast, California
$42.99
2006 Rating Parker 93 “Even better is the 2006 Chardonnay Home Block, which comes from the owner’s Spring Ridge Vineyard, but from 28-year-old vines. It has more tropical fruit, fuller body, a complex mouthfeel, with lots of exotic fruit notes such as mango, orange, and even a hint of pineapple. This wine should drink beautifully for 5-7 years.”

These are not in house, but if you would like order them, click here
