This is the second or third release of this wine (we didn’t get any 2009 in the state) but without a doubt, this cuvee is even better than 2008 (which got 90 points from Wine Enthusiast) and is an Incredible value. Peter Roseback always make this cuvee 50% Pinot Noir with his primary source being the famed Resonance vineyard. He adds Cabernet Sauvignon from his Baby Poux vineyard, grapes from his Old Vine Zinfandel vineyards and small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc to round out the blend. The result is an outstanding bottle of wine for only $17.99!

In the past, we’ve sold over 10 cases of this wine during its first release and ran out of inventory long before anyone was done drinking it.

Burghound 90* – Outstanding “Classic light ruby. An elegant, pure and perfumed nose features notes of red pinot, raspberry and cherry hints that dissolve gracefully into delicate light weight and beautifully detailed flavors that are utterly delicious and possess sneaky length. This is an exercise in purity, delicacy and finesse and stylistically, this quite reminds me of Volnay. No I do not wish to unduly push the analogy as the flavor profile is not what you typically find with its more mineral-driven Volnay brethren but there is a kinship in the gossamer-like transparency. Note that fans of power pinot would be better served to look elsewhere. This could be enjoyed now with 30 minutes of air or cellared for 5 to 7 years as the balance is impeccable.”
