Rising Tides
2009 NOT IN STOCK – Please Call about Current Vintage Availability
No 2009 Rating
2008 Rating – Tanzer 93 “Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed, ripe scents of blackcurrant, black raspberry, fruitcake and violet with a smoky overlay. Juicy and deeply pitched, offering lush black and blue fruit flavors and a suave floral pastille quality. Weightier on the finish, where the floral note lingers with real authority and persistent spiciness. For a burly wine this displays wonderful balance.”
2008 Rating – WS 93 “Juicy wild berry and blackberry jam flavors are intense, pure, focused and persistent in this full-blown red, picking up roasted herb, scorched earth and mineral notes. All in all, a fascinating range of flavors. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2018. 420 cases made.”
2008 Rating – WE 93 “With a higher percentage of Syrah than Sticks and Stones, Linne’s Rising Tides is darker and deeper. It suggests black cherries veering into black currants, with a rich, dark chocolate note, and a finish of sweet, charry oak. Nonetheless it’s a dry wine, and a little soft.”

Linne Calodo 2009
Sticks and Stones
No 2009 Rating
2008 Rating – Parker 94 “One of my favorites among the 2008s is the Sticks and Stones, a blend of 57% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, and 14% Syrah, (which sounds like a Chateauneuf du Pape). Moreover, tipping the scales at 15.8% alcohol (and not a bit of it showing), this wine has a subtle resemblance to the great Chateau Rayas. Kirsch liqueur, dark raspberries, loamy soil notes, lavender, and spice box are all present in this medium to full-bodied wine, which is extraordinarily elegant, focused, and pure. A delicious wine with good acidity, this is a sensational red from Paso Robles, and a tribute to the blending skills of Matt Trevisan. It should drink well for 5-7 years.”

Linne Calodo 2009
Problem Child
2009 NOT IN STOCK – Please Call about Current Vintage Availability
No 2009 Rating
2008 Rating – Parker 90 ‘The elegant, dense ruby/purple-tinged 2008 Problem Child (70% Zinfandel, 17% Syrah, and the rest Mourvedre) is an elegant, almost Burgundian take on Rhone Ranger winemaking. In a graceful, more restrained style, with delicious flavors of forest floor, briary fruit, and blacker cherries and earth, the wine is medium-bodied, has good freshness and vibrancy, and a nice, attractive finish.”

“Consistently brilliant wines are produced by former St.-Emilion native, Stephan Asseo, who is now ensconced in the wine world of Paso Robles. Cote a Cote 2007
Paso Robles, California
2007 NOT IN STOCK – Please Call or Email about Current Vintage Availability
Parker 95 “The blockbuster 2007 Cote a Cote (40% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 20% Syrah) boasts a dense purple color as well as a provocative bouquet of jammy black cherries, coffee beans, smoked meats, lavender, and spice. Dense and opulent with a voluptuous texture, tremendous concentration, a layered finish, and abundant tannin (all well-concealed by the cascade of fruit and glycerin), this beauty should be drunk over the next 10+ years”.
Paso Robles, California
Parker 96 “The 2006 Cote a Cote Proprietary Red is a blend of 40% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache, and 30% Syrah. Another superstar in the L-Aventure portfolio, it possesses an inky/purple color along with a sumptuous, sweet bouquet of roasted meats, blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis, licorice, and chocolate. Dense and full-bodied with fabulous intensity, opulence, and flesh, but no hard edges, it will provide immense pleasure over the next decade”.
Estate Cuvee 2007
Paso Robles, California
2007 NOT IN STOCK – Please Call or Email about Current Vintage Availability
Parker 95 “The 2007 Estate Cuvee (44% Syrah, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 19% Petit Verdot) is much bigger and denser than its 2008 counterpart, despite the fact that it is only 15.4% alcohol, compared to the 2008′s 15.9%. Full-bodied with abundant notes of creme de cassis, blackberries, smoke, graphite, and charcoal, this dense, layered, beautifully textured effort will benefit from another 1-2 years of bottle age, and should drink well for 10-15+ years”.

Optimus 2005
Paso Robles, California
2005 NOT IN STOCK – Please Call or Email about Current Vintage Availability
Parker 94 “The least expensive red wine is the Optimus cuvee. The 2005 Optimus (51% Syrah, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot) barely qualifies as a Rhone Ranger, but it offers classic chocolate, cassis, espresso, and subtle wood notes along with a dense ruby/purple hue, gorgeous concentration, and plenty of spice, cedar, and a Pauillac-like complexity and richness. This serious effort is more French than Californian. It should drink well for 6-10 years”.
WE 93 “A tremendous Petite Sirah, among the finest from Paso Robles. It’s a big wine, with massive flavors of blackberries, currants, leather, mocha and smoky oak, with an ultralong, spicy finish. Yet the wine is totally dry, with refined, silky tannins. Yes, the alcohol’s high, but it’s completely balanced. Best now and through the next decade. ”
