in Daily Deals,Pre-Sell

Prices, stock and vintage subject to change without notice.
Please call or email to confirm availability.

Here is our second 2009 Burgundy Pre-sell.

All pricing is per case but we will accept 6+ bottle orders.

This pre-sell is due by February 25, 2011 and expected delivery is late April.

Just to repeat what I said earlier – Everyone has been raving about this vintage so get your orders in quickly.  The distributor will not order extra so this will be your only chance to get most of these wines.  With that said, there is a lot of international competition for the 2009 vintage so we can not guarantee delivery.  It is annoying but it is the reality of the global marketplace.

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Les Clos
Burghound 95 – Don’t Miss -
“Here the wood influence is somewhat more noticeable though not enough to materially detract from the otherwise pure, cool and high-toned white flower, stone and sea breeze suffused aromas that complement well the rich, powerful and intensely mineral-driven flavors that possess fine focus and verve on the explosively long finish. This is seriously impressive in absolute terms but especially so in the context of the vintage.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Bougros
Cote Bouguerots
Burghound 94 – Don’t Miss -
“This is a big step up in refinement, particularly aromatically with an abundance of oyster shell and tidal pool nuances to the white flower, citrus and Chablis-style green fruit. The rich, powerful and mouth coating flavors possess real drive but also beautiful detail on the intensely mineral-driven finish that possesses outstanding length.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Valmur
Burghound 95 – Don’t Miss –
“It’s arguable that in 2009 that this is the most elegant and refined wine in the range as the ultra pure and airy white flower, citrus zest, iodine and oyster shell aromas complement to perfection the extremely fresh and silkily textured flavors blessed with ample amounts of acid-buffering dry extract that culminate in an explosive yet harmonious and sophisticated finale with perhaps a bit less youthful austerity than usual. I very much like this.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Les Preuses
Burghound 95 – Don’t Miss –
“A discreet touch of wood sets off fresh, cool and reserved aromas that are elegant, airy and citrusy before merging into rich, intense, pure and admirably precise medium-bodied flavors that possess really lovely balance and superb length. A wine of harmony and class.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Bougros
Burghound 93 – Don’t Miss –
“Somewhat curiously, in 2009 this is actually a bit more elegant with a ripe, pure and pretty nose of apple and white orchard fruit aromas that lead to dense, powerful and muscular broad-scaled flavors that manage to keep fine detail on the palate staining finish. This is by no means as refined as the Côte de Bouguerots but it’s not overtly rustic either.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis Grand Cru
Vaudesir
Burghound 93
“A mildly exotic nose that is ripe yet airy showcases aromas of orange peel, peach and hints of roasted nut and iodine leads to rich, even opulent medium plus weight flavors that are delicious, round and strikingly persistent on the mouthcoating finish. However, in the same fashion as the Grenouilles, this seems to have less complexity than I am used to seeing though this may come in time.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis 1er Cru
Vaulorent
Burghound 94 – Don’t Miss! Outstanding -
“A classic nose of oyster shell, tidal pool, iodine, green fruit and dried white flowers is very much in keeping with the concentrated, powerful and serious middle weight flavors that culminate in a sappy finish of superb length. This is impressive.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis 1er Cru
Montee de Tonnerre
Burghound 93 – Sweet Spot Outstanding –
“This is markedly more complex and more elegant as well with an expressive nose of white flower, citrus and pear nuances that precede the rich, full-bodied, powerful and serious flavors that do not lose precision or focus on the impressively long finish. This is very Zen-like as the sense of harmony is really lovely.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis 1er Cru
Fourchaume
Burghound 92 – Sweet Spot Outstanding -
“A very Chablis-like nose of tidal pool hints, green fruit and wet stone gives way to notably rich and generous flavors that remain very fresh and vibrant, all wrapped in an intense and sappy finish that is presently on the fruity side though I suspect that this character will abate with age.’

William Fevre 2009
Chablis 1er Cru
Vaillons
Burghound 92 – Outstanding -
“A notably ripe nose of white flower notes, spice hints plus citrus and sea breeze nuances, both of which can also be found on the textured and relatively concentrated middle weight flavors that possess plenty of energy and punch on the salty and linear finish.”

William Fevre 2009
Chablis 1er Cru
Montmains
Burghound 91 “
A slightly more complex if similarly composed nose of primarily floral and spice aromas that marry into rich, delicious and a bit more concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess fine energy and persistence on the sappy finish.”
