Parker 92 “Manzone’s 2005 Barolo Bricat reveals a floral, high-toned bouquet that leads into dark cherries, plums, spices, sweet herbs and licorice as this firm, classically-built wine opens up in the glass. There is gorgeous depth and clarity here, not to mention terrific energy and minerality, but this medium-bodied, ethereal Barolo needs a few years before it offers its finest drinking. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025.”
Tanzer 92 “Good full red. Sweet aromas of plum, marzipan and musky, truffley underbrush. Sweet on entry, then quite vinous in the middle palate, showing more shape, penetration and thrust than the Gramolere. A nicely structured, juicy wine that finishes with sweet but firm building tannins and noteworthy persistence”.
