Everyone agrees that 2009 was a stellar vintage for Southern France.  I know, I know, when the new vintage comes out some winemaker/distributor always says ‘”X” vintage was the best, I swear.  Now, how many cases do you want?”  But having tasted this 2009 Houchart Rose, I am blown away.  If this is what everything in the 2009 vintage is going to be like, my goodness we are in for an amazing treat!  Beautiful balance.  Wild strawberries and a perfect hint of spice.   Now all we need is a beautiful spring day to pop this baby open!  Hmm… everyday next week is going to be sunny and low 60s. Everything you could ever ask for in a Rose!
