Sancerre is region in the eastern portion of the Loire Valley in France. It is primarily known for white wine which by law has to be 100% Sauvignon Blanc. They also make a small amount of red wine from Pinot Noir. Most of the soil is chalk which contributes to the striking mineral flavors found in top Sancerre. The Fournier family has been making wine in this region since the 1950s and is one of the top producers from this region.

Regularly $22.99, Now $16.99
WE 89 “An edgy, mineral style, full in the mouth, with fruit flavors that definitely go towards pear and apricot and away from herbaceous. It’s a great style that allows the wine to age, with a firm texture to go with the fruit.”
